but as all of you from south sub don't know, the reason i had to leave early was because my grandma beverly died between 12 and 2 AM friday night in her sleep. the visitation was yesterday, and we all managed to get through it. we were joking about making handouts that say "i'm catie. i'm dave and patty's child. im 16 and a junior at Eagan high school. yes i've grown since the last time you've seen me, etc." it was pretty funny. =]
it all seems surreal to me. yes, i saw her in the casket, but i still expected to see her walking around their house. i guess it won't really sink in that it actually happened until the funeral today. i can't believe that one minute David and i are talking in the cafeteria at Todd County High School, and today i'm wearing all black at the Lakewood cemetery. it feels like this is all a dream. it also feels like it has been weeks since i left the rez, but it's hardly been a day.
Grandpa wants us to go to the cabin with him on thursday so he can do whatever he needs to do. jon and i will most likely be spending the night at his house tonight so we can hang out with maddy and dalton because they flew in all the way from Georgia.
I cannot wait for wednesday night to come so i can see you all again. i miss you so much. it feels like it's been weeks since the last time i saw y'all. it will be awesome when i see your bright smiling (and tan) faces. see you around.

annoyedI got a letter from Dan! He's been moved up to running group A. They were doing a low-crawl in a sand pit, and the motivation to keep their heads low was live ammo being shot above their heads. =0 He's coming back on th 20th! YAY! He says he'll be able to help out with junior & senior high youth groups. =] on friday at 3:30 AM, jacque had her baby. the baby is named Emma Rose Thorson. if you ask me, the last name should be Anderson. it's not like jacque is gonna marry cody, anyway. but she can get child support now, i guess... i bought star wars episode 2 on sunday. and i watched it yesterday, and it's pretty good. =] so far it's my favorite star wars movie =] i found the coolest Monty Python shirt at kohls. perhaps i'll wear it someday soon.. steph had surgery on monday, apparently. and she keeps insisting that i visit her. and she knows i can't ride my bike to farmington, especially when i don't know her dad's address, and she expects me to know it through osmosis. Alex Kahnke is really getting on my nerves, too. he takes things from movies and says he made them up. NO YOU DIDN'T! i saw that movie, i know exactly where it's from, lying about it isn't cool.
I know i shouldn't let the small things get to me, because they're not important, but somehow they always annoy the crap out of me. My parents aren't helping, either. they keep saying "you guys go to this ssef-whatever church because its so much better than STB, and you say how much fun & easier it is, and how you're ood christians, and you wear christian shirts, and read your bible, and you treat everybody there really nice, but when you come back home you guys treat us like dirt. do you think the Carlson's do that? Does Dan do it? What about Cassie? you think she comes home and expects her parents to let her do as she pleases?" UGH! no, they don't, and i did that before i went to SSEFC, and i'm trying to stop, but it's harder than you think. no matter how much i pray about it, and try to be nice to them, it just dosen't seem to work. and when i dont show that im angry when they yell at me about something, they get annoyed at me. =[ it's frustrating. but i've learned that coloring books can help. =]

WOO HOO! Ive already gone through 1 week and 2 days of high school (wich actually makes a week, but thats not the way we think, is it?) meghan already came back from college last week to go to ren fest with DAVID...go figure...he goes to bethel, and he biked 9 miles to her dorm to watch the football game (they went there) and then we picked them up saturday night and dropped david off at his house to see his family....anyway... gueessss what! i think i told u guys a few weeks ago, but WE GOT DDR!!!! YEAH MAN!!! ok....back to high school...so, my schedule for the DAY is.....
wake up- 5:40-6:00 depending on if i didnt take a shower the night b4, then eat breakfast, get dressed, ect.

get to school- 7:03 (that was this morning..we keep getting earlier, though...)

in math yesterday mr. ronchack told us last nights assignments and tonights assignments b/c of the freshman retreat, so the next day kelly pulls out her hw and goes "CRAP! i did tonights assignment instead!" so im sitting there jokingly telling kelly how stupid she is, and mr. ronchack goes "pull out the PINK 1-3 assignment" so i pull it out, and nothing is written on it..i look at the other one that is tonights assignment and go "CRAP! KELLY! I DID THE WRONG ASSIGNMENT, TOO!" and mr. ronchak goes "geeze, catie, you're just as stupid as kelly!" lmao...sorry kelly!!!
